Luxurious independent book devoted to analyzing timely and accurate (at least from what I read in these early days) of the now famous Zappa's last tour in the company of the "Best Band" dated 1988 and called "Broadway the hardway.
That moment in the career of Frank Zappa was a crucial (because just before the outbreak of the disease that would take him away just a few years later in December 1993) to better understand and track with other new details of the entire trajectory of his "project / object" definitive.
How many people know the extraordinary "Best Band" has crumbled after the close of his European tour to Genoa, leaving "the company Zappa" only the debts accrued for the operation ended badly and lost earnings of a probable second fruitful U.S. tour for the winter of 1988. But beyond the recriminations of a purely economic type, mode, and the reason for the extraordinary ensemble project has been dissolved has perhaps left a real scar already cynical mood of the composer of Baltimore, finally away from interaction with other beings in blood hot, preferring as a final solution a solid relationship "professional" with a machine (Synclavier) and its operating software in constant evolution. Anyway ... back to the book,
the tome is a beautiful and elegant with this jacket with a stiff silk screen depicting the silver in our moments of one of its proverbial "direction" orchestra, a good idea to decorate (and protect ) the real book ...
rather bulky, which opens with a page confirming the uniqueness of the copy in your possession (it was in fact released a limited edition of 400 copies) ...
and continues with several pages (224) printed in a convenient character for easy reading (to understand ... is not a small body font arial 8) and other pages full of beautiful photographs (74 to be exact .. some of the not quite as easily available elsewhere).
Needless to say this book is definitely destined to become fundamental to every student and passionate Zappa (obviously omit to underline the interest in this subject by careful collectors international).
