LOTHAR & THE HAND PEOPLE - Space hymn (1968)

Among the records of early electronic-psychedelic, SPACE HYMN - second and final chapter of the adventure of Lothar and the Hand People - is certainly one of the most amazing and innovative.

The Denver band's original (but soon became operational in the manifold NYC) is here produced by Nick Venet (producer who wanted the same bizarre Zappa orchestral work for the Capitol Lumpy Gravy), and the psychedelic spirit that pervades the universe creativity is brought out with great use of very fine first synthesizers that do not detract, however, room for more natural size sound of traditional instruments (guitars, bass drums) with a very special attention and care for the vocals, highly sensitive and very inspired.
more purely electronic
episodes are nothing short of amazing, especially the visionary and still unsurpassed "Wedding Night For Those Who Love".

Simply beautiful.
